CELEBRATING A YEAR OF IMPACT

Celebrating 2024, A Year of Impact

THE WALKING TOURIST PROJECT

March 31, 2025

The GFWC Lutz Land O’ Lakes Woman’s Club proudly shares the results of their Health & Wellness-sponsored initiative, “The Walking Tourist Project.” Participants collectively walked an impressive 1,581 miles, tracking their steps weekly.  These miles were then converted and plotted on a Florida map to visualize their journey.

The project focuses on promoting the concept of “Move Naturally,” one of the Blue Zones Power 9 principles for longevity and well-being. As participants make their way across the mapped route, they receive a weekly Travel Guide highlighting key information about their virtual destinations, fostering both physical activity and learning opportunities. “This initiative encourages our members to stay active while also exploring new places virtually,” said Nancy Branham, Chair of the Health and Wellness CSP.

The GFWC Lutz Land O’ Lakes Woman’s Club remains dedicated to initiatives that enhance the well-being of its members and the broader community. By incorporating movement into daily life in an enjoyable and educational way.

March 31, 2025

The GFWC Lutz-Land O’ Lakes Woman’s Club is proud to announce that Booster John King has presented a donation check to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay on behalf of the club’s Environment Community Service Program (CSP).

This contribution supports the Humane Society’s ongoing efforts to care for animals in need and promote responsible pet ownership in the Tampa Bay area.

We are grateful to our dedicated boosters like John King who step up and assist whenever needed. Their continued support allows us to make meaningful contributions to our community and support causes we care deeply about.

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’ LAKES WOMANN’S CLUB CELEBRATES 65 YEARS OF SERVICE

March 16, 2025

On March 4, the GFWC Lutz-Land O’ Lakes Woman’s Club marked a milestone—65 years of service, friendship, and community impact—with a celebratory luncheon at The Great Catch restaurant in Lutz.

For over six decades, our club has been dedicated to making a difference, supporting local organizations, hosting fundraisers, and volunteering to uplift our community. But beyond the service, we have also built a strong network of friendships that have stood the test of time.

As we step into the future, we remain committed to our core values of giving back, supporting one another, and strengthening our community.
