WOMAN’S CLUB DONATES SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Members of the GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club sorted donated school supplies at the Lutz Branch Library before delivering them to three area schools for the new academic year.  The supplies went to Lutz K-8, Miles Elementary School and Denham Oaks Elementary to support students and teachers.

The donation is part of the club’s Education and Libraries Community Service Program and reflects the ongoing commitment to local education initiatives.  Club members said the effort aims to help schools provide a strong start for every student this year.

1st RESPONDER BASKETS FOR SEPTEMBER 11

The GFWC Lutz Land O Lakes Womans Club Civic Engagement CSP ladies were busy today prepping and delivering snack/fruit baskets to our 1st Responders in Lutz and Land O Lakes.
These eight main baskets overflowed into two baskets, thanks to the generosity of our women donating so many snacks for this program.  Penne Bowen created 24 beautiful handmade “thank for you for your service” cards that went into each delivered basket.

REMEMBERING THOSE LOST ON 9/11

The Lutz-Land O’Lakes Women volunteered to help American Legion Post 108 to set out 2,977 placards in memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11.  The placards were laid out in the shape of a giant American Flag — a powerful symbol of unity, loss and resilience.

WOMAN’S CLUB SUPPORTS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

The Lutz-Land O’ Lakes Woman’s club attended a recent Habitat for Humanity home dedication.  The club provided the family with a housewarming gift to include a fire extinguisher, fire blanket, books and a water filtration system.

CLUB CELEBRATES 105th ANNIVERSARY OF RATIFICATON OF 19th AMENDMENT

August 18, 2025 was the 105th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage Ratification of the 19th Amendment.  This amendment gave women the right to vote.  The guest speaker was Susan B. Anthony, a Suffragette.  Club women made sunflower pins to wear and signs demanding the right to vote during their reenactment of a march for the passage of the 19th Amendment.
