GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DONATION

The Little Women of Lutz had a wonderful time at JASM (Juniorette Annual State Meeting)! We are proud to announce we received the JUNIORETTE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD (the highest honor), our president, Ava Frederick, received the GAIL HILL JUNIORETTE LEADERSHIP AWARD and Nancy Branham was honored being selected as the BOBBIE SMITH OUTSTANDING JUNIORETTE ADVISOR!

The Lutz Land O’ Lakes Woman’s Club Arts and Culture Community Service Program meets once a month at the Lutz Community center to work on projects benefiting several organizations, hospitals and the homeless.
Highlighted here are Sue Welfley crocheting an Octopus to encourage tactile stimulation for babies in the NICU at Advent Health hospital and Aniko Solomonson displaying a mat crocheted out of plastic grocery bags we provide for the homeless in the area

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMEN’S CLUB volunteered at the annual Old Lutz School Christmas festivities. Members decorated a club-sponsored Christmas tree, decorated a room with Phyllis Hoedt’s extensive nutcracker collection, and served hot chocolate and cookies to visitors from the community and surrounding areas that attended .

GFWC Lutz-Land O’ Lakes club members Annette Bellingar, Deb Cardona and Dee Knerr participated in the Wreaths Across America ceremony at the Veterans Cemetery on Kennedy Blvd in Tampa on December 14th. Every tombstone had a wreath placed against it, which was a beautiful sight. The ceremony that followed reminded us all of the past and present cost of freedom to all of us so lucky to live in this great country.
