GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members turned out for the 35th Annual Coastal Clean Up in Pasco County and helped with the road and pathway cleanup. The club members take conservation and the quality of our environment very seriously and have helped with this effort for decades, picking up tons of trash along the way.
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members were out for their 18th year of annual flag waving at the historic Old Lutz School to commemorate 9/11 with flags specially inscribed with “We will Never Forget”. The heavy traffic passing by heartily supported their efforts with waves, honking horns and big rig air horns blasting.
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members continue to donate food and clothing to St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry and Thrift Shop in Land O’Lakes, which donations benefit the food-insecure in the community. The clubwomen volunteers continue their work in spite of Covid conditions and precautions.
Susan Corcoran and other members have also been tireless in their efforts to sew masks and other items requested by area hospitals for neo-natal unit babies and cancer patients.
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB Board of Directors commemorated the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage at their Zoom Board Meeting. The women prepared signs with slogans to “Speak”, “Be Heard” and most importantly “VOTE”.
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB have long supported our area animal shelters with funds and supplies. The club women have generously donated a SUV-filled supply of cat and dog food, kitty litter, etc. to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and delivered by member Sandi Marrow, who chairs the club’s Conservation & Environment Committee and personally volunteers at the shelter.
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members recently feted President Annette Bellingar with a lovely cake and ice cream at a safely-distanced outdoor club picnic to celebrate her “Milestone” birthday. Congratulations and Best Wishes to President Annette!!
