WOMAN’S CLUB DELIVERS NEEDED ITEMS TO A LUTZ ALF
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members, Dee Knerr and Debbie Cardona, delivered a large supply of clothing, hygiene items, socks, slippers and other items needed by residents of Amilcat Care Home in Lutz. The ladies were also able to secure and donate a walker which was much needed by one of the residents.

RECYCLED ART COMPETITION
The Woman’s Club held a Recycled Art Competition on 11/5. Kay Taylor took 1st place with her folded bottle cap art. Deb Cardona took 2nd place with her bottle cap portrait.
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB HONORS VETERANS ON 11/11
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members honored veterans by placing flags on their graves at two local cemeteries, one in Lutz and one in Land O’Lakes, to commemorate Veterans Day on 11/11. Ms. Swanton’s daughter Lily Swanton and her friend, Jordin Wigginton helped with the members’ project.
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB DONATES TO LIONS CLUB
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members have collected and donated 145 pairs of eyeglasses to the Lions Club local chapter. Sandi Marrow, Woman’s Club Environment chair, delivered the box full of eyewear to the group, which will in turn be recycled and repaired and distributed to the needy in low income countries across the world. The Woman’s Club has long supported and partnered with the Lions Club.

LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WC PINK PICNIC FOR “STRIDES”
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB had a fabulous and fun “Pink Pandemic Picnic” to raise funds for American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer”. In observance of Oct. as Breast Cancer Month, the members generously donated over $1675 (with donations still arriving). Members sported pink bras with crazy embellishments and 3 prizes were awarded for the ‘Best in Show’.
