GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members are busily prepping their club parade float entry in the Annual Lutz 4th of July Celebration with this year’s theme of “Volunteer– Put Your Heart Into It”. The Woman’s Club has sponsored this terrific old-time small town parade for decades and thousands of locals come out for a true family Parade and Celebration.
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members (plus a daughter) enjoyed a wonderful outing of hot air ballooning this week and lived to tell their story. These gals are an adventuresome lot and loved their experience aloft. The ladies took a break before preparing for the fabulous Lutz 4th of July celebration.
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB is pleased to announce the recipients of its Class of 2017 Scholarship Awards. Woman’s Club President Karin D’Amico presented 2 Lutz Volunteer Fire Dept. Memorial Endowment Scholarships for $5,000 each to Lutz residents Meaghan Slater (FSU) and Bailey Draper* (Pasco-Hern CC) (not pictured). Six additional club scholarships of $2200 each were awarded to Jessica Berringer (USF), Colton Heath (UF), Casey Broker* (FSC), Lila Baker* (UF), Evan Cane (USF) and Analise Morrow* (FSU). The Woman’s Club 2017 Scholarships totaled $23,200.00 and the recipients selected were graduates of Steinbrenner, Sunlake and Land O’Lakes High Schools, all within our communities. The Woman’s Club prides itself on its longstanding commitment and support to the community and to education.

The ever-popular Annual Cake Contest is one of the many fun events to be featured at the LUTZ ANNUAL 4th of JULY PARADE AND CELEBRATION. This very popular family-oriented celebration is one of the best small town 4th of July parades and community parties in Florida. Come out with the entire family for a fun-filled day commemorating our nation’s birthday……CELEBRATE “INDEPENDENCE DAY—THE LUTZ WAY” !!!!

Club Officers were present to receive the Civic / Non Profit Organization of the Year Award for its longstanding community service and volunteerism on behalf of the Woman’s Club.

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB proudly congratulates its Past President Rosie Heim, a longtime Land O’Lakes resident, on achieving the title of “Honorary Mayor of Land O’Lakes”. The Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce honored Ms. Heim at its recent Annual Awards Banquet and installed her as this year’s Honorary Mayor. Ms. Heim has held almost every office in the Woman’s Club, currently serving as a Director, in addition to being a businesswoman and an active member of numerous local organizations, has long served our community and will proudly represent Land O’Lakes, the Woman’s Club AND the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce during her 2017-2018 term in office.
