Getting An Early Start on Christmas

October 9, 2017

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB recently got an early head-start on its annual “Packing Party” for Operation Christmas Child through the Samaritan’s Purse charity. The members collected and donated toys, hygiene items and school supplies sufficient to fill 149 Christmas gift boxes to be shipped to children in this country as well across the globe. The club also donated the substantial amount of postage required to ship these packages.

Ms. Wagner delivered several SUV-filled loads of boxes of needed items to Shady Hills Elementary School. The Woman’s Club does a great deal to support local schools over the course of the year with donations as well as member volunteer hours.
