Donation of Clothes to Liberty Manor for Veterans


GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB donated and Public Issues Chair Marguerite Humet together with 2 other members delivered an SUV loaded with men’s clothing, shoes and outerwear to be distributed among the homeless veteran residents of Liberty Manor For Veterans in Tampa. Liberty Manor provides several residences in our area to accommodate honorably discharged veterans and assist them on a path toward self-sufficiency. The Woman’s Club feels a special affinity for our veterans and has worked for many years to support them in numerous ways.

Gently Used Shoes Donated to Soles 4 Souls

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB International Project Chair Madeline McCulloh recently delivered many cartons of gently used shoes donated by the club women to a local business serving as a collection point.
These donations made to the “Soles 4 Souls” organization, based in TN, create sustainable jobs through distribution of new and gently used shoes and clothing to 127 countries.

SUPPLIES DONATED TO BUCHANAN MIDDLE SCHOOL

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members, under the direction of Education Chair, Pat Wagner, donated and delivered a truck filled with teachers’ needed supplies, paper products and cleaning items to Buchanan Middle School in Tampa in response to their request for help. The school was opened to the public and used as a temporary shelter during Hurricane Irma, during which time, teachers’ supply closets were virtually emptied of these important items.
Flipping Flapjacks for Charity
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club President Karin D’Amico and members recently volunteered to serve 100’s of flapjacks during the 24th Annual Flapjack Festival and 5K Run in Land O’Lakes, organized by the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce and benefitting several charitable organizations
