GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members prepared and served a delicious brunch featuring many of their specialties to residents of Hope Lodge. This facility houses patients who are receiving long-term cancer treatments at Moffitt Cancer Center and truly appreciate the uplift of home-cooked meals and fellowship brought by these volunteers.

WOMAN’S CLUB “MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB team turned out in force for the Annual “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” Walk at The Shoppes of Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel. Club members were joined by the GFWC Little of Women of Lutz (their sponsored teen club) and by club Boosters, all of whom were decked out in some form of outlandish pink regalia. Club President Karin D’Amico was particularly colorful wearing her large pink breast cancer ribbon and pink pony tails to draw awareness to this disease and the cure.

WOMAN’S CLUB SERVES CUSTOMERS AT FUNDRAISER
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members organized, attended and served customers at a Culver’s Restaurant-sponsored fundraiser. Chair Pat Wagner put this fun event together and club members sported their work aprons and club shirts and came out to support this benefit, proceeds of which will fund club projects and donations related to Education.

Fundraiser to Benefit Sunrise Domestic Violence Shelter
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB held a very successful fundraiser and luncheon to benefit Sunrise Domestic Violence Shelter of Pasco County. Chair Mary Anne Lykins coordinated the event at which the venue was awash in a sea of purple as club members wore purple to bring attention to the serious topics of domestic and sexual violence. The Woman’s Club has supported this and other area shelters for decades with monetary donations as well as much-needed goods and clothing. The clubwomen enjoyed the luncheon as they raised over $1100 which was presented to the Shelter, together with a filled-to-the-brim truckload of donated items to assist the shelter’s residents.
