GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB is proud to announce that its 1st Vice President Annette Bellingar has been honored by the Florida Statewide AARP and selected as the recipient of its prestigious 2018 Andrus Award for Community Service. Ann-Marie Flannery, AARP Florida Associate Director of Community Outreach presented her with a commemorative plaque. Ms. Bellingar serves a number of volunteer service organizations throughout the community and is an active member of AARP Chapter 4764 in Land O’Lakes, which group had nominated her for this award. We heartily congratulate you, Annette, for this well-deserved honor.

WOMAN’S CLUB SUPPORTS NEW HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HOME RECIPIENTS
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members attended the recent Habitat for Humanity Home Dedication Ceremony for the family receiving a beautiful new home in Dade City. The Woman’s Club has supported Habitat for Humanity for many years and for this project has donated backpacks for the 2 teen daughters filled with 20 books each. The single mom recipient was presented with a tote bag filled with cookbooks, novels and inspirational reading by the club women.

WOMAN’S CLUB FILLS ”OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD BOXES”
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB enjoyed a “fill the box” day on behalf of Samaritan’s Purse Charity “Operation Christmas Child”. The club women donated a room filled with various small toys, gifts and personal care items which they packed into a record 107 boxes now ready for shipment within our country as well as abroad to the neediest of children. These boxes will bring happiness to kids who may not otherwise receive a single Christmas gift.



WOMAN’S CLUB ASSISTS WITH MEALS ON WHEELS PROJECT
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members gathered at Hillsborough County Meals on Wheels to assemble and cover over 60 collection boxes with colorful paper. These collection boxes were delivered to various locations in the area for public donations of games, puzzles and personal care items for the house-bound and elderly who find it difficult to get out to shop on their own. The Woman’s Club members are attempting to give these shut-ins a merrier Christmas through their work and their donations.

WOMAN’S CLUB SERVES BRUNCH TO HOPE LODGE RESIDENTS
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members prepared and served a delicious brunch featuring many of their specialties to residents of Hope Lodge. This facility houses patients who are receiving long-term cancer treatments at Moffitt Cancer Center and truly appreciate the uplift of home-cooked meals and fellowship brought by these volunteers.

WOMAN’S CLUB “MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB team turned out in force for the Annual “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” Walk at The Shoppes of Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel. Club members were joined by the GFWC Little of Women of Lutz (their sponsored teen club) and by club Boosters, all of whom were decked out in some form of outlandish pink regalia. Club President Karin D’Amico was particularly colorful wearing her large pink breast cancer ribbon and pink pony tails to draw awareness to this disease and the cure.
