GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members recently caravanned over to St. Pete / Clearwater Airport to welcome home the aging vets who were taken on an “Honor Flight” to visit the War Memorials in Washington D.C., and most particularly the WW II monument. The Woman’s Club has for many years supported numerous projects benefitting our veterans and active duty military.

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members have presented a club donation check of $1030 to “Operation Patriot” Director Ken Richardson for the use and benefit of veteran residents of the Baldomero Lopez VA Nursing Home in Land O’Lakes. This patriot group organizes parties for vet families, provides personal needs and fun stuff for the veteran residents. The Woman’s Club has raised these funds in order to directly benefit the veterans and provide them with fun outings and special treats as well as personal care items.

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members paid homage to the spirit of Memorial Day by placing flags at the grave sites of veterans in a Land O’Lakes Cemetery. The club women have honored veterans at local cemeteries over Memorial Day for several decades and continue to support our active duty troops through many its projects.
