SUPPORTING CANINE COMPANIONS FOR INDEPENDENCE
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members, under the direction of Chair Edwina R. Kraemer, recently helped prepare and serve lunch to the very fortunate recipients of the extremely well-trained graduating class of working dogs of “Canine Companions for Independence (CCI)”, providing the disabled with a new “leash on life” with more independence options.
WELCOMING ‘HONOR FLIGHT’ VETS
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members were present at the airport to welcome vets returning on the “Honor Flight” from Washington, D.C., along with their sister club members from District 8. The WW II vets are flown to Washington with personal escorts so they may visit the World War II, Korean and Viet Nam war memorials. Flags were flying and much cheering was heard as these elderly vets deplaned.

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB proudly congratulates its Past-President Kay Taylor, on her recent election as Florida District 8 Director-elect of the Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs. Ms. Taylor has held many offices and chairmanships within her club as well as leadership positions in the District. Her home club wishes her well in her new position commencing in May and looks forward to supporting her projects.

LUTZ ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW MOVES TO ODESSA – DECEMBER 2-3, 2017
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club, has moved its hugely popular Annual Lutz Arts & Crafts Show, after decades at Lake Park, to the Campus of Keystone Prep High School, 18105 Gunn Hwy. (north of Van Dyke), Odessa 33556. The club women are busily preparing for its 38th Annual Juried Arts & Crafts Holiday Show, their major fundraiser, which promises to be bigger and better than ever with over 300 vendors, a large Food Court and very ample parking. This very popular show is always a big hit with families enjoying a fun outing in a festive holiday atmosphere, with great food and very unique holiday shopping. Find that special gift or pick up some beautiful handcrafted jewelry, original artwork, photography, woodcrafts and metal work, plants and yard art.
