Home Instead Senior Care was the recipient of 250 hand decorated gift bags from the efforts of the club members led by the Arts committee.
Days For Girls Project – 100 Bags to be Donated
Thanks to all who helped!
100 bags were made: cut, ironed, sewn and will be filled by the other clubs in the district with supplies and pads. The bags will be completed and sent in September.

Domestic Violence Luncheon and Fundraiser
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club recently held its annual benefit luncheon in support of 2 local domestic violence shelters and is please to report that a check was presented to each of the 2 shelters in the sum of $480 in addition to approximately $1200 worth of donated goods for the residents of both shelters.
This even is always very rewarding for these hardworking clubwomen who com away with a real feeling of accomplishment after helping these most needy neighbors.

GFWC Little Women of Lutz Win Awards
Congratulations to our Juniorettes for being awarded the Marcia Bright Award for best interaction with a Woman’s Club
at JASM (their Summer Convention)
The girls also came back with:
- 6 second place awards
- 2 third place awards
- And other certificates of participation
During September there are plans for an Ice Cream Social, road-side cleanup and flag waving on the 11th. Please remember that the Woman’s Club members are always welcome at the meetings, and if you know of any young ladies between the ages of 12 through 18, please be sure to tell them about the Juniorettes.

GFWC Woman’s Club Lutz Land o Lakes Wins Lois B. Perkins Award at Spring Convention 2013
Lois B. Perkins award is given each year to the outstanding club in the state of Florida at the GFWC Florida Spring Convention. All of our Community Service Program committees, as well as others, received awards.
