Brunch at Hope Lodge

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members once again visited the resident patients and families at Hope Lodge and prepared and served a delicious homemade brunch to them. The club women find this project most rewarding and
feel they receive far more than they have given in serving these lovely people who are undergoing such difficult treatments.
‘Flea’ Fashion Show Fun

Those pictured are all Woman’s Club Members
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club will present its Annual fun-filled and whacky “Project Re-Run” Fashion Show featuring fabulous and tongue-in-cheek outfits modeled by members, which fashions were culled from the donated items to their upcoming March Flea Market. The fashion show and luncheon will be at the Lutz Community Center (behind Lutz Library) on Thursday, February 26, 2015 and begin at 10 a.m. Added to the fun is the opportunity to buy these haute couture items literally off the backs of the models. This zany fashion show will be followed by a lasagna and/or baked ziti luncheon for a donation of only $6. Luncheon will include salad, entrée, dessert & beverage. All proceeds from this luncheon will benefit the “Very Special Arts” project which provides art/craft supplies for special needs school children.

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members, under the direction of Conservation Chairs, Les Fersch and Lonna Vizzari, volunteered on a collaborative project with other community organizations to plant thousands of seedlings at the Connor Preserve in order to help reforest Florida, prevent water runoff and soil erosion. The Little Women of Lutz members, the teen girls’ branch of the Woman’s Club, worked alongside the sponsoring club members on this important project.
