GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club recently enjoyed a successful luncheon and baby shower benefiting 2 area safe haven Domestic Violence Shelters. The clubwomen were all decked out in shades of purple to show their support and were very generous in their donations to this important cause. The ladies were successful in filling 2 large vans full of beautiful baby and toddler clothing, diapers and other needed items.

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members recently handcrafted table favors under the direction of Aniko Solomonson. More than 150 pieces were delivered by Ciel Birkett on behalf of the Woman’s Club to the Lutz Community Center and Pasco County Meals on Wheels program to decorate their senior and shut-in clients’ food trays.

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members recently attended the annual General Federation of Women’s Clubs State Convention in Orlando. The women attended numerous workshops, learning experiences and seminars. This year’s theme celebrated veterans and honored its own veteran members.

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club recently congratulated and honored longtime members for their many years of club service and community volunteerism. Annette Bellingar, Membership Chair presented “year” pins to Aniko Solomonson (30 year member), Barbara Jackson (15 year member) and Jeannie Oller (5 year member) in appreciation for their faithful service.
Woman’s Club Commemorates 9/11
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members came out in force and in shifts to wave flags in commemoration of 9/11. The passing traffic showed their support by vociferous horn-blowing, especially by the big rig 18 wheelers. Showing their patriotism on 9/11 has long been a Woman’s Club tradition since 2001 appearing both in Land O’Lakes and Lutz.
