Photo: (L-R) Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputies and club members Nancy Allen & Edwina Kraemer
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB showed their appreciation and support of local law enforcement officers by visiting the Citrus Park Sheriff’s Office Substation and delivering trays of fruit, cookies, sandwiches and other treats prepared by club members. Also presented was a very long banner penned by members with well wishes and words of heartfelt appreciation for their service to our community particularly in these sad days following those officers lost in the line of duty in Dallas.
The Best Small Town 4th of July Parade in the US

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club has co-sponsored “The Best Small Town 4th of July Parade in the U.S.” in Lutz for many decades. The Clubwomen marched and carried their club banners, rode on their club float along with their grandchildren (who are part of a local dance group) and tossed candy to the crowds lining the parade route. After the parade, the community enjoyed children’s games and crafts, food booths, cake contest and many other fun events.

Celebrating the Leadership and Accomplishments of Former Presidents

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club celebrated the leadership and accomplishments all its former Presidents going back through the decades recently at a lovely luncheon. These special ladies were thanked for their service, presented with corsages and crowned with tiaras as memories of their terms were shared by the members. A total of 26 years of leadership were represented in this photo including two of these ladies who served as two-term presidents non-consecutively. Cathy Mathes (not pictured) is the current club President.

Tie Dye Activity Raises Money for Very Special Arts
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members recently gathered for a fundraiser luncheon and a popular ‘Tie Dye” activity directed by Lois Cohen, Arts Committee Co-Chair. The ladies wore old clothes and worked outdoors on this fun, colorful and paint-splashed project of tie-dyeing t-shirts and tote bags.
Not only did the members leave with their own personalized work of art but the project raised funds for Very Special Arts, which provides art supplies for children with disabilities and special needs.
