GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club has chosen member, KarenSue Molis, as its “Club Woman of the Year” for her outstanding service to the club and participation in its many volunteer projects. Ms. Molis was honored at a recent luncheon and presented with a commemorative plaque for her exceptional club service.

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club has named outstanding member, Lois Cohen as its Volunteer of the Year. The club congratulated and honored Ms. Cohen for her outstanding community service through volunteerism not only to the Woman’s Club but to other civic and religious organizations as well. She has given unselfishly of her time and energy to the club and the community for the benefit of all. Lois Cohen’s club nomination will now place her in contention for a district-wide honor, in which event she could move up to GFWC FL state competition level. Good Luck to Lois!!
Donations to Safe Haven Shelters
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club, under the direction of Chair Joan Collins, collected a full SUV load of donated Christmas gifts for children, their Moms and residents of two area shelters housing victims of Domestic Violence. A large assortment of toys, clothing and other needed items were generously donated at the club’s recent Christmas luncheon by the clubwomen so these residents may enjoy some semblance of a happy holiday despite being away from their own homes.
Club Installs New Officers for 2016-2018
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club recently installed incoming President Cathy Mathes, 1st Vice President Karin D’Amico and 2nd Vice Hazel Robles together with the newly elected Executive Board of Directors for a 2 year term.
Outgoing President Kay Taylor was honored for her service and dedication. The installation was held at the Woman’s Club annual and very festive Christmas luncheon at Pebble Creek Country Club. The club women were very honored to have as their guest, Florida State GFWC President Carole Weaver.

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club Board of Directors recently honored outgoing President Kay Taylor for her very successful 2 year term in office. The club women enjoyed a bountiful pot luck luncheon and then gifted Ms. Taylor with a hot air balloon ride in appreciation for her service. Ms. Mathes will soon be installed as the club’s next President at their upcoming holiday luncheon.
80 Pounds of Food Donated During Annual Food Drive
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club donated over 80 pounds of food items during its annual Food Drive. Chair Madeline McCulloh and Elaine Warner collected and delivered a hefty load of much needed pantry items to Christian Social Services in Land O’Lakes for distribution to needy area families through its Food Bank.
