Kay Taylor - Florida District 8 Director-elect of the Florida Federation of Women’s ClubsGFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB proudly congratulates its Past-President Kay Taylor, on her recent election as Florida District 8 Director-elect of the Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs. Ms. Taylor has held many offices and chairmanships within her club as well as leadership positions in the District. Her home club wishes her well in her new position commencing in May and looks forward to supporting her projects.

LUTZ ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW MOVES TO ODESSA – DECEMBER 2-3, 2017

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club, has moved its hugely popular Annual Lutz Arts & Crafts Show, after decades at Lake Park, to the Campus of Keystone Prep High School, 18105 Gunn Hwy. (north of Van Dyke), Odessa 33556. The club women are busily preparing for its 38th Annual Juried Arts & Crafts Holiday Show, their major fundraiser, which promises to be bigger and better than ever with over 300 vendors, a large Food Court and very ample parking. This very popular show is always a big hit with families enjoying a fun outing in a festive holiday atmosphere, with great food and very unique holiday shopping. Find that special gift or pick up some beautiful handcrafted jewelry, original artwork, photography, woodcrafts and metal work, plants and yard art.

Sat. & Sun., December 2nd and December 3rd, 2017.
Sat. 10 to 5 pm
Sun. 10 to 4 pm.
Admission is FREE but there will be a $5 per car parking fee collected by and benefitting the school. Plan to carpool and save.

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB recently transformed the Lutz Community Center into a sea of purple in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Members wore purple, played bunco and prepared a delicious luncheon to benefit residents at Sunrise Domestic Violence Shelter in Pasco County. The club women, under the direction of Chairperson Mary Anne Lykins, presented the Shelter with a generous donation check as well as a pickup truck filled with needed linens, diapers and hygiene items to assist the residents.

Getting An Early Start on Christmas

October 9, 2017

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB recently got an early head-start on its annual “Packing Party” for Operation Christmas Child through the Samaritan’s Purse charity. The members collected and donated toys, hygiene items and school supplies sufficient to fill 149 Christmas gift boxes to be shipped to children in this country as well across the globe. The club also donated the substantial amount of postage required to ship these packages.
