
WOMAN’S CLUB MEMBERS CELEBRATE RED NOSE DAY IN THE UK


GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members have presented a club donation check of $1030 to “Operation Patriot” Director Ken Richardson for the use and benefit of veteran residents of the Baldomero Lopez VA Nursing Home in Land O’Lakes. This patriot group organizes parties for vet families, provides personal needs and fun stuff for the veteran residents. The Woman’s Club has raised these funds in order to directly benefit the veterans and provide them with fun outings and special treats as well as personal care items.

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members paid homage to the spirit of Memorial Day by placing flags at the grave sites of veterans in a Land O’Lakes Cemetery. The club women have honored veterans at local cemeteries over Memorial Day for several decades and continue to support our active duty troops through many its projects.



GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2018 Scholarship Awards totaling $20,000. The recipients of the Lutz Volunteer Firemen’s Endowment Fund Scholarships are:
Autumn Darrigo (not pictured), a Hillsborough CC student, $5,000 award, twins Caitlin O’Shea, $2,500 and Erin O’Shea, both Steinbrenner seniors, $2,500 each, all of whom are Lutz residents. Additional Club Scholarships of $2,000 each were awarded to: Breena Levison (LOL) and Matthew Julian, (Lutz) Sunlake seniors, Devyn Espy, (Odessa) Steinbrenner senior; Amy Le and Makayla Hildebrand (both LOL), Land O’Lakes seniors. The Woman’s Club congratulates these outstanding students and wishes them every success in their college careers.



The International Outreach Committee arranged a field trip to Morningstar Fisherman on May 14th.
Morningstar Fishermen is an international aquaponics research and training facility located at 33336 Old Saint Joe Rd Dade City, Florida 33525 . They are a Christian organization committed to healthy and sustainable living for all. They currently train people, around the world, to implement aquaponics as one solution to world hunger.
Their goal always stays the same, to educate people in a way that encourages and prepares them to teach others.

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB has formally installed 6 new members into their ranks at their recent Spring Luncheon. The new members were warmly welcomed into the fold of these tireless “green shirt” ladies who have served on behalf of the community since 1960.
