Christmas Tree at Old Lutz School

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club under the direction of Arts Chairpersons, Karin D’Amico and Aniko Solomonson, had each of its members personalize a little Ms. Piggy ornament for their club tree as part of the annual Old Lutz School’s Community Festival of Trees display.
This year’s theme was taken from Club President Kay Taylor’s motto: “When pigs fly….” and proved to be quite colorful and hilarious.

Funds Raised for Baldomero Lopez Veterans’ Nursing Home

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club member, Sharon J. Bard, successfully chaired a Tombola game-of-chance booth at their recent Arts & Crafts show and raised $820 in donations for the Baldomero Lopez Veterans’ Nursing Home in Land O’Lakes. Ms. Bard collected 100s of bottled items from club members as well as businesses in the community for this project and “sold out” within hours on both days of the event. This veterans’ home has long been a favored charity of the Woman’s Club, whose members not only raise money for the residents’ recreational fund but also volunteer many hours of service each month.
