GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB was represented by its 2016 Relay for Life Team at the recent annual event and was successful in raising over $1,000 (and still climbing). This year’s club project was named in memory of late longtime member, Gloria Kasouf, who had chaired this fundraiser for many years. Special congratulations go to member Nat Cunningham, who single-handedly raised over $500 for this American Cancer Society fundraiser.

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club members recently donned their hot pink finery and fanciful hats and assisted with the Land O’Lakes Library special event, “An American Girl Doll Tea Party” for young ladies. It was a lovely affair for young girls to enjoy with their dolls and with club members helping to serve tea and goodies. The Woman’s Club has donated volunteer hours and financial support to both the Lutz and Land O’Lakes Libraries for more than 5 decades.

Annual Olden Days Event at Lutz Elementary School

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members again participated in the annual Olden Days event at Lutz Elementary School by volunteering with a variety of arts and crafts projects. The “Green Shirt” Ladies showed up in full force to help students with this fun program as they do each year as part of the club’s education programs.
“Flashy to Trashy” Luncheon & Fashion Show 2016

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club recently hosted a Luncheon & Fashion Show featuring items ranging from “Flashy to Trashy”, which fashions were pulled from donations to their upcoming Flea Market (Mar. 4 & 5) at the Old Lutz School. The ladies had a laugh-filled afternoon strutting down the runway during an auction of their outfits. The proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit Very Special Arts (VSA) by providing much needed art supplies for special needs students.
