2017 Annual FLEA Fashion Show

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club is hosting its hilarious Annual FLEA Fashion Show featuring “Fashions from Rosie’s Closet” on Thursday, February 23, 2017 beginning promptly at 11 a.m. at Lutz Community Center behind the Lutz Library (101-1st Ave. NW, Lutz 33548) and welcomes the public. This zany event will feature some lovely as well as some whacky outfits pulled together from donations to the club’s upcoming March 3rd & 4th Flea Market (at the Old Lutz School) and modeled by club members with many laughs thrown in. Added to the fun is an auction opportunity to buy these fashions literally off the backs of the models. A delicious Tapas & Salad Luncheon, including beverages and desserts, will be served for a donation of only $7 with all proceeds benefitting Very Special Arts (VSA) which provides special needs school children with art supplies and projects. 2017 Support The Troops

2017 Support the TroopsGFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members meet regularly to pack boxes of needed hygiene items and treats for our troops serving abroad at the Wesley Chapel warehouse of “Support The Troops”. These clubwomen recently delivered the packages stacked beside them with club-donated funds for postage to send off much appreciated gift boxes.

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club has announced its choice of “Club Woman of the Year” – Lois Cohen of Land O’Lakes, who chairs the club Arts & Crafts Committee, co-chaired the Lutz Arts & Crafts Show, serves on the Board of Directors as well as on many other club committees and projects. Ms. Cohen was honored at a recent luncheon and presented with a commemorative plaque.

Lutz Community Turns Out to Honor Phyllis Hoedt

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lake Woman’s Club members joined the Citizens for the Old Lutz School and Lutz Civic Association groups in honoring longtime community volunteer, Phyllis Hoedt, on her birthday with a large celebration held at the historic Old Lutz School which was brilliantly lighted and decorated for its annual Christmas displays. Mrs. Hoedt has for many decades served the Woman’s Club, the Old Lutz School, her church and everything “Lutz”. She is the backbone of the community and tireless in her support of every local event. We salute you, Phyllis Hoedt, and wish you many more birthdays to come.
