We are proud to announce that Kay Taylor, a member of the GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club, received the Jennie Award at the Southern Region Conference in Huntsville, Alabama for her lifetime of service and volunteering for her club, her community and GFWC Florida.

This award highlights those extraordinary members who epitomize the spirit of independence, courage, and persistence in purpose through their roles as volunteers withing their clubs and GFWC.

We all wish her good luck and safe travels as she proceeds to Scottsdale, Arizona to compete at the International Convention in June, 2026.

The Lutz-Land O’ Lakes Woman’s Club attended the District 8 Annual Meeting hosted by the Tampa’s Woman’s Club celebrating their 125th  Anniversary.  We are proud to celebrate our club member, Judy Quail, as the new 2026-2028 GFWC Florida District 8 Director.

The Lutz-LandO’Lakes Woman’s club participated in the GFWC day of service by donating clothing and personal hygiene products to One More Child’s Loft 181, a clothing boutique for teenage girls ages 13-18. This charity has a special focus on supporting foster care youth and trafficking survivors.

Our own Kay Taylor, won the coveted Jennie June Award at Fall Boards on Saturday night.

Our founder of GFWC Florida, Jane Cunningham Croly, started this award to a member who has 5 years of membership, and has had a lifetime of community service and commitment to the community and family.

The award is given every 2 years and the applicant has to submit supporting materials including newspaper articles, photo and a letter of recommendation from the club president and other organizations.

Please congratulate Kay on winning such a prestigious award and it is well deserved.

The GFWC Lutz Land O’Lakes Woman’s club held a Fashion Show recently at the Groves Golf and Country Club.  The fashions and commentary were provided by Dillards at Wiregrass Mall and the models were members and family members of the club. The money raised from this fundraiser will provide funds to continue the charitable programs and scholarships that the club provides to the communities of Lutz and Land O’ Lakes.
