GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB DONATES $1500 TO LOPEZ VETERANS’ NURSING HOME
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members proudly presented a check to an officer/representative (in red shirt) of the “Operation Patriots” organization, which group supports many fun activities, special outings and treats for the veteran residents of Baldomero Lopez Nursing Home in Land O’Lakes. The Woman’s Club has supported the residents of Lopez Nursing Home for many years through socialization, Bingo games and generous donations. This year the club has raised $1500 for the veterans through its popular Tombola game at their Arts & Crafts show, which was a record breaker. A great deal of credit for this success goes to member, April Saland, who chaired the event and spent many hours collecting bottles as prizes besides physically working the booth at the Craft Show. Ms. Saland is pictured holding the left corner of the presentation check and club President Elayne Bassinger is holding the right corner.
