GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB RECEIVES GRANT FROM LUTZ GUV’NA FUNDRAISER PROCEEDS

October 9, 2023

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB is most appreciative of a generous grant received from the Lutz Civic Association, sponsors of the annual Lutz Guv’na fundraiser. A distribution was made to the Woman’s Club, as well as several other local charities, non-profits and the Lutz Elementary PTSA. The clubwomen heartily supported Jerome Smalls as their chosen candidate and raised funds for his campaign. Mr. Smalls ultimately raised the most funds for charity and is now serving as the 2023 Guv’na of Lutz and an Ambassador representing the community. Funds received by the Woman’s Club will help to support its many projects, donations and efforts on behalf of the community and beyond.

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB Commemorated 9/11

September 22, 2023

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members came out in force for their annual commemoration of 9/11 to wave flags along the highway.  These clubwomen have been present on each 9/11 since 2022, the 1st Anniversary of that horrific attack causing 2996 deaths.  The members were loudly acknowledged by 18 wheeler air horns, with trucks and vehicles of every sort sounding their horns and giving “thumbs up” signals.  In addition, club teams delivered gift baskets of tasty and healthy treats to 8 local Fire Rescue/EMT stations to show appreciation for their service.
