GFWC LUTZ LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB CONGRATULATES ITS BOOSTER HUSBAND (of member Barbara Jackman), JOEL E. JACKMAN, on the honor extended to him by Hillsborough County, in renaming the Visitors’ Center at Lettuce Lake Park as the “Joel E. Jackman Nature Center”. A dedication ceremony was recently held at the Park and Mr. Jackman was lauded for his longtime environmental work and as a leader of Hillsborough County’s conservation movement for more than 50 years. Mr. Jackman received this very well-deserved honor for his many contributions to Hillsborough County and Lettuce Lake Park. As a longtime Booster of the Woman’s Club, Mr. Jackman has helped the clubwomen with many of their conservation and environment projects, given walking tours of Lettuce Lake Nature Park and his guidance in establishing their Sensory Garden in a Land O’Lakes camp for autistic and special needs children.
