GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members spent an enjoyable afternoon learning some unique crafting, followed by a fundraising luncheon to kick-start its Relay for Life events. The clubwomen learned “quilling” techniques from Sharon Morse (a GFWC Brandon Junior Club member), which is an ancient (13th Century) artistic method of rolling thin strips of paper into dazzling 3-D designs.
Also on display were a number of beautifully painted rocks by member, Paula Tapper. Especially interesting was Ms. Tapper’s striking stone portrait of artist Frida Kahlo.
