The Environment committee is busy year round, encouraging members to recycle paper, batteries, and household chemicals properly. The committee participates in Earth Day at Crews Lake Park in April. They provide various conservation related projects for children to work on. The committee also participates in Coastal Clean Up in the fall. Activities in the past have included planting trees with the Boy Scouts, visiting Lettuce Lake Park with a birding expert and touring the recycle plant at Covanta.
