The Annual Flea Market will be held 3/2-3/3 at the old Lutz School on 41. Donations will be accepted 2/12, 2/14, 2/19, 2/21, 2/26-3/1. The club welcomes community donations of books, clothing, shoes, household items, small appliances, kitchen wares, accessories, décor items, tools, toys, etc. All items must be clean and in working order. Larger furniture may be dropped off in the last week of February but large appliances, huge tvs or sleeper sofas cannot be accepted. Please help the hardworking “Green Shirt” ladies raise funds with your donations to this very popular flea market, proceeds of which will ultimately benefit our community through the club scholarship fund and its many contributions to and support of local charitable groups and non-profits.
Please prepay $20 to Lea Griffin by 2/9. First place winners from our Local Arts & Crafts competition will compete against the other District 8 clubs.
GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club is hosting its hilarious Annual FLEA Fashion Show — “Strutting Our Stuff” on Thursday, February 22, 2018 beginning promptly at 11 a.m. at Lutz Community Center, 101-1st Ave. NW, Lutz 33548 (behind Lutz Library). This zany and unscripted event will feature some lovely as well as some whacky outfits pulled from donations to the club’s upcoming March 2nd and 3rd BIG Flea Market (at the Old Lutz School) and modeled by club members with many laughs thrown in. Added to the fun is an auction opportunity to buy these fashions literally off the backs of the models. A fundraiser luncheon including salad dishes, sandwich platters, beverages and desserts will be served for a donation of only $7, with all proceeds benefitting Very Special Arts (VSA) which provides special needs school children with art supplies and projects. The public is most welcome so bring a friend and enjoy.
