DEAR GFWC MEMBERS,
Please plan to Meet Me, no Us, in St. Louis, as It’s Our Time to Connect! You
are invited to the 2018 GFWC Annual Convention, which is taking place in
St. Louis, Missouri, June 23-26, 2018. The Gateway City is rich with history;
in 1904, it hosted both the World’s Fair and the Olympics! This summer we
have the opportunity to make our own GFWC history in St. Louis, and we hope
you’ll be part of it.
We will be graciously welcomed by the GFWC Mississippi Valley Region, first-ever
official Region Host. The states certainly represented the theme of It’s Our Time
to Connect by coming together to host a Convention we will not soon forget. With
partners, vendors, and clubwomen from across the country, Convention is always
a time to appreciate the connections GFWC forges. It’s those relationships that
make us stronger as clubwomen and as an organization.
We have three tours planned to take full advantage of the wonderful sights
St. Louis has to offer. The Gateway Arch and Beautiful Blooms excursion includes
a capsule ride to the top of the country’s tallest monument to overlook the city.
This is followed by a private tram tour of the Missouri Botanical Garden so you
can relax while you take in the beauty of the landscape. On the Architecture of
St. Louis tour, you can get up close and visit three historic buildings. Finally,
with the Basilica and Brews tour, you have the opportunity to visit the stunning
Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis followed by a tour of the city’s world-famous
Anheuser-Busch brewery. Whether you go on one tour or all three, the city is
yours to explore in the company of other GFWC members.
Our host hotel, the St. Louis Union Station Hotel, is a stunning historical landmark.
