GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members recently presented a generous donation check to Land O’Lakes Library Regional Branch Manager Kathleen Rothstein, as part of its collaboration with the arts programs and support of the library and its many community-oriented activities.
WOMAN’S CLUB DONATES TO HOMELESS SHELTER
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members were very busy this holiday season donating to and serving so many of the needy groups and organizations in our community.
Pictured are members assembling donated gifts and treats in Christmas stockings to be distributed at the Pasco County Coalition for the Homeless in New Port Richey at their holiday party.
The club stuffed 30 stockings and provided 30 new blankets for those in need.

Woman’s Club “Sisters Act” Carolers
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB’S newly formed “Sisters Act” Choir performed happy Holiday songs and dressed in festive outfits to cheer the residents of Shady Palms Assisted Living Facility in Tampa. The choral group was directed by Darryln Caudill and was accompanied on piano by Shirley Simmons. Members also provided refreshments, goodie bags and treats to the appreciative residents.

GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club recently conferred the honor of its “Club Woman of the Year” Award to longtime Lutz resident, Lonna Vizzari. Outgoing President Karin D’Amico presented Ms. Vizzari with a commemorative plaque and her name will be added to the club’s “Plaque of Fame” at Lutz Community Center. Lonna has tirelessly served the club in numerous capacities and as Chair of the Conservation Committee for a number of years. She has never said “no” to assisting or chairing any club event or project.
Woman’s Club Donates to ShelterBox, USA
GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB members delivered a check for $2,000 to the ShelterBox USA, in Sarasota. These funds will purchase 2 “Green Boxes” of supplies and tents to be delivered to families devastated by conflict or disaster, both here and abroad. Each box contains necessities sufficient to shelter a family immediately following an natural disaster or emergency and provide implements to sustain themselves in the short term.
